The screw is the heart of the screw conveyor. The screw conveyor screw is built with flighting formed from solid steel and precision cut on a CNC high definition plasma table. The screw flighting is welded to the center shaft by highly skilled and trained certified welders. The screw center shaft is made of a pipe with a bushing at each end to accept a standard CEMA drive shaft, tail shaft or coupling shaft. The screw coupling bolt holes are precision jig drilled to tolerances in the thousands of an inch. A coat of high quality enamel paint is applied to each finished screw for corrosion protection during storage and shipment. Each screw conveyor screw is then QC’d for dimensional accuracy and quality construction.
