SCP slide gates are a simple technology with a wide range of applications. At the base level they are simply a square or rectangular plate actuated back and forth to cut off bulk material flow. Some of the most basic slide gates are little more than this concept with the slide plate sliding on a metal square stock and simply actuated by hand. SCP has a slide gate design that is nothing more than three pieces of thin steel with the middle piece moving back and forth to cut off flow. The applications for this type of simplified slide gate is very limited and therefore lead to more robust, well engineered solutions.

SCP slide gates come in a variety of sizes, configurations and materials of construction making them an ideal solution for gravity powder bulk material applications. They can be outfitted with pneumatic, manual or electric actuators. The UHMW slide plate seals ensure minimal leakage, even when under a head load. The sealed bronze bushed rollers provide a lifetime of service free, smooth operation. Using a SCP proprietary calculator, slide gates can be accurately designed for the slide gate size, bulk material flow being controlled, head load, slide plate thickness and a variety of other parameters. This unique approach to slide gate design ensures each SCP slide gate will hold up to even the most demanding applications.
